Frequently asked questions

How do ranges work?

Each comma-separated range becomes its own file. 1-3, 4, 5- gives three files: pages 1 to 3, page 4, and page 5 to the end.

Is there a file limit?

A single split can create up to 400 files, to keep your browser responsive.

Where do my files go?

Most tools work entirely inside your browser tab, so the PDF is processed on your device and not uploaded to us. The AI tools are the exception: with your own key, the text of your PDF is sent to the AI provider you choose, and they say so before you start.

Do I need an account, and is there a limit?

No account, no watermark and no daily limit set by the site. Very large files are limited only by your device’s memory.
